OMG... IM ON SO MANY DRUGS!!! ETA 12/31

Went to my neurologist today and I'm now on 6 new drugs!! Three to try to control my seizures ones a sleeping pill because the others cause insomnia. And 2 pain medications for the paid I suffer through ever time I seize since a broke my bad 11 months ago during a seizure. I feel like a pill Popper lol I try to laugh it off but this is not how I want to live :( we talked again a little today about the implant surgery that they place a device into my chest that will connect to my brain to try to control my seizures. Nothing seems to help at this point. So we may be talking more about the implant soon :( I feel broken and old and I'm only 34. I feel 84 most times :(

I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU FOR ALL YOIR KIND WORDS MOMMAS!! I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES RIGHT NOW!! I AMHAVE FAMILY THAT SEES MY HEALTH AS NO BIG DEAL AND HAS TURNED THEIR BACKS ON ME EVEN EVEN I BROKE MY OWN BACK SEIZING ONCE AND ANOTHER TIME TORE ALL THE TENDONS AND LIGAMENTS IN MY LEFT SHOULDER AND A LOT OF THE DEEP TISSUE,AND VARIOUS OTHER INJURIES WHILE TAKING CARE OF TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND MY FAMILY WASNT AS NICE AS YOU LADIES HAVE BEEN. MY DAUGHTER WAS 6 WEEKS OLD AND MY SON 13 MONTHS WHEN THEY WATCHED ME BREAK NY BACK. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU KIND WORDS!!! IT MEANS SO MUCH!!!

She really wants it to be a last result but its getting closer to it. It just can't be controlled no matter what we have tried so we are trying a new mix up of things. I have to take pain meds because pain is a stresser so is exhaustion. So that's the new sleeping pills and 2 pain meds to stop stressing my body so much. Might make a difference but who knows. I'm still not sure of the full procedure I would be having since we are trying to avoid it so I can't even think what it's called right now.

I'm sorry.  I have epilepsy but I am not on 6 different drugs for it!

I'm so sorry.  My mom has epilepsy, but she has been fortunate that she has been on the same drug for over 40 years.  If it comes to doing the implant, though, I've heard really good things about them.  It seems they control seizures in nearly every person who gets them.

Also an old friend of mine has the implant..it's like a pacemaker..she's now able to detect them and for the most part prevent them
