I think I'm sick of teaching the many different ways to add and subtract and now am rebelling. LOL
I like to follow the books I get because I have a deep fear of missing something in Math. I always struggled with it and I want my kids to get a firm foundation in it. I'm just bored. It seems like I've taught addition and subtraction in all of it's different forms for ions. LOL
Do you just get sick of something and decide to derail for a while?
Yep. Sometimes our different math books have 30 ways to multiply, etc. I'll go over them but if any don't 'click' with my girls I skip them and focus on the ones that do. That's another thing I love about hs.
Yep. I've changed things up just for the change of scenery. Of course, eventually we get back on track, but sometimes you jsut need to stop and re-boot. I'm right there with multiplication with my ds. Sometimes I'll just stick him on geometry, or measurments, or anything but those blasted times tables. Then we go back. just to keep him from completely rebelling. Becasuse we've done multiplication for a freaking year.
