For once...nothing that I know of is scheduled...but I could be wrong....
We have a girl scouts ceremony thing tonight, and a girl scouts meeting tomorrow. Then a current events co-op on Friday. For once though, I have nothing written in the margin of my planner of things to do lol
Birthday party. One of my dds is gonna be 3 :)
What kind of party are you having?
Sounds like a full house!
This week for us looks pretty quiet, except we may not school very much in Monday due to an eye appt then trip out of town for party supplies
November 3, 2013 at 12:06 PMSounds like a good time Mem!
Only one scheduled activity this week - woohoo! We're going to catch up on all of our fun science labs & get back into our regular routine.
Ugh I have to work. Lol, I really hope there comes a day I can just stay home!
Wednesday we have Engineering at co op, then DD has dance and we will have dinner with DHs grandma.
Friday we are doing cake decorating with our neighbors down the street.
And I have done absolutely NO lesson planning for this week...so this will be interesting ;)
Oi, let's get some work done! We took most of last week off (I counted some of the stuff they did for school, but mostly we were on our own time and such), and my DD asked when we get a day off. Grrrrr....... So I need to plan and work on getting into a groove that works for us. I'm prone to panic attacks and stress and this past week has been horrible for me.
Petty normal week this week..
My middle son is a special blessing. He has a learning disability that makes reading comprehension very difficult. We need to break everything he reads down into little chunks and he is easily frustrated. I signed him up for a literature course through our charter school but he has missed work, missed days, forgot times to be there, etc and the teacher submitted a drop request(aka kicked him out of class because of it). :( I do understand the teacher, and I understand DS but it upsets me that in 8th grade he can't even manage to do ONE class without me. Not sure what to do with DS.
DS1 has a dilema as well. He is the President of the local Antler Lodge. Antlers are a youth group, sponsored through the Elks lodge that does community service and provides a fun, supervised social outlet for kids. He is also a member of Order of the Arrow. OA is a society of Boy Scouts that the boys re the best of the best. An honor society that also does lots of service.
BOTH the Antlers and the OA have a meeting this Friday. The Antlers group has a "visitation" where kids and aduts from anoter lodge (In this case about a 5 hour drive from us) come hang out with us and want to know how we work. The OA group has elections and DS wants to run for a position. BOTH meet from 7-9 PM. HOLY **&^*&...I wish we could clone him! Not sure WHAT we are going t odo to have him in both places....
