"See through paint"

Okay I did this project as a kid but have forgotten....you colour on  a light colour paper in a white crayon then you paint over it in black paint anyone have any clue what I am talking about???

    I did that when I was younger.  We used white crayon and water colors.

     trying to making it "spooky: for Halloween....do you water down the paint???

    I remember those ....nope cause you scratch it off the thicker paint comes off better

    With the white crayon you use water colors.  With mulitcolored crayons you can use matte finish paint and scratch off.

    Just paint like you would with normal water colors.  If using acrylic as water colors you would water it down.
