Help: Weekly Menu Ideas
September 28, 2013 at 2:27 PM
Ok ladies I need help creating a weekly menu with some sort of rhythm to it. This will help me with shopping and the less I have to think the better.

This is what I have so far:
Taco Tuesdays
Pizza Wednesday
Seafood saturday

Any ideas for the other days? Help!
Am I the only one who does this?

    Meatless Mondays?

I tend to make a weekly list that includes at least one chicken dish, one beef or pork dish, one vegetarian dish, one pasta dish and one seafood dish if I can fit it in.

We always do a pasta dish on Sundays - something from my husband's childhood (the entire extended family would do a big pasta dinner after Mass).

I actually meal plan for a month...and we are learning to shop 1-2 weeks at a time.  My months differ.  I have no rhyme or reason to how I plan.  I do however let my girls and SO each choose one meal a month that they may want and I fit it in.  The usual requests are mac and cheese with hot dogs, my spinach casserole, and the most recent request was for stuffed shells.  I do however make 2 crockpot meals a week.  We have a friend who has been eating with us recently and is begging for my recipes...hes a man and lives alone.  I think its cheaper for him to eat with us once in a while.

    Casserole day

    Crockpot day

    Ethnic food day

    Soup/stew day

I am a huge fan of Pinterest when it comes to menu planning. I swear I spend 15 minutes on there and I have food planned for a couple weeks haha!
