We don't really have anything like that around here. Just a stock show, but my kids aren't all that interested in raising animals for show.

     That is adorable!

I dont have a close up one on the laptop but here is a pic of her with it displayed at the fair.  It is the purple and yellow rectangle one.

It has frogs, fish, snakes, etc. Actually my oldest son picked out all the material when he was about 3 yo nd my Mom never got around to making the quilt for him so Heidi claimed it.

yea 1st in her division! got a picture of the quilt?

my girls use to put their quilts and art work in, they enjoyed getting ready for the fair each year.

DD did last year. She made her first quilt. She won 1st in her division :)

I always look at it and think,"We should..." and life happens and we don't. DD picked material for another quilt but didnt get it dome in time. We will have to enter it next year.

They have a parade.the first Sat of the fair. My Boy Scouts usually walk in it.

Also, my mom is part of the Emblem club They rum a taco booth each year and i go help out several days.

Booth/participant fees can be costly, so we really dont do things like that, but we do go to all the local fairs and festivals.

We haven't yet, but I'd like to. I used to when I was younger.

Thanks ladies! She did well for her first time :)

It was funny. There was a $1 entry fee and winners got a check for $3. We didn't know they had cash awards. My mom had paid her entry so she paid her back with her winnings. It was cute.

It depends on the year, the preschoolers do ballet (which my 4 year old does) and as they get older the dance company they dance with tries to give them experience in other areas.  We love the chance to dance at the fair and love the dance company they dance with too!
