What do you want to teach her, or what does she want to learn about?  Do you want history or social studies?

Story of the World if you want world history (and the activity books are necessary, in my opinion).

How is it set up? Are there teacher guides, how many lessons and is it worksheet oriented?

It looks like it is more project oriented.  We have done the What is History, what is archeology chapters and started the What are Nomads chapter today.  Each chapter so far started out with discussion questions.  Like Do you sleep in the same place every night?  It reads very story-like which is great for my 5 yo. We haven't had a worksheet yet, but again we are just at the beginning.

I also use this curriculum. I love that it is cronological. I started it in in the first grade.
