Homeschooling Moms
The DJs from our local radio station recently went to Indonesia with Compassion International, to meet the kids they sponsor as well as some of the ones who need sponsorship. It was great to hear the things they are doing for these children, how much it changes the child's life, and has inspired us to join in the fun. So we decided to sponsor a child! His name is Christian (which is my oldest son's name too) and he is 6 years old. My kids are so excited to learn about his country, start writing him letters, and draw him pictures. They are hoping to get a letter back from him. Does anyone else sponsor a child?

That is pretty great that they are into doing that. You can also incorporate that into your lessons in spelling, english and math.
We haven't done this as of yet.
