My Favorite Science Resources
May 12, 2011 at 4:27 PM

I love math and science. Don't get me started on how much I hate grammer and spelling, in the many years I've been among HS'ers one of the subjects people most worry about teaching is Science. (and math but that's a post for The following are some of my favorite interactive resources. You don't have to have an advanced understanding of science to enjoy them. I also highly recommend the book - Scrooge's Cryptic Carol -- essentially it explains energy and entropy (heat) and touches on atomic & quantum physics, but it does so with almost no math and through the story of Dicken's Christmas Carol (Scrooge is visited by the spirits of Science Past, Present and Future).

ENJOY: (lots of topics) (the ocean) (the solar system, electricity, etc). (Kitchen Chemistry) (The Biology Project) (the museum of science ,art and human perception) (Cool Science for Curious Kids) (tool for demonstrating analyzing data) (tool for mapping cause and effect) (Way Cool Surgery - NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART - actual open heart surgery) (Galaxy Hunter - a photo safari) (Exploring the planets) (Planet Impact) (Galaxies Galore) (Black Holes) (Hubble Academy) (amazing space) TONS OF RESOURCES Great games like Amusement Park Physics and Ask Dr. Universe
