Sniffles and smiles really big!

WARNING!!! MAY MAKE YOU CRY TOO!

My oldest has lost 6 of her teeth so far. Well this little boy at walmart was selling pre bagged food with like $2 worth of food for $4 each to raise money for the local food bank. We she saw this and asked if we would let her buy a bag with her tooth money.(we were gonna use that to buy her this pair of shoes she wanted) i told her if thats what she wanted to use her tooth money for then yes. She had enough to buy almost 2 bags. (we tossed in 3 counting taxes) She bought the 2 bags then turned around and gave the bags back to them and told them they could give that to a family who needs it more than her. It brought not only tears to my eyes but to the adult volenteer who was their helping. She had seen my daughter ask for 2 bags and watched her count out her money from her pocket to buy it! She said she hasn't seen that in a long time. I couldn't help but pick her up and give her the biggest hug and kiss i could.

To think, my daughter does this all the time. Like me she would give the clothes off her back to someone in need yet her aunt got mad at her for not giving up her birthday toy to her cousin just cause he wanted it. (it was a big bouncy ball you get at walmart) So they popped it. Said if he couldn't have it no one would. I so wanted to hit her that day. I am going to make a call to santa and see what we can do to get her a new one (with them being $3 at walmart, i bet i can get her at least that this year) I am so very very proud of her that I had to share!

Oh and she asked if we could go through our pantry and donate all our old food to the school for the food drive they are doing and the bags of candy they have left to the local dentist office that is sending it to the soldiers over seas. I must be doing something right with how I am teaching my kids :)

I Was suprised she did that. well not too suprised cause she helps out a lot at the school and such. When she did that though, it showed me even more the true meaning of this season.  I know now, That I am on the right path teaching my kids about right and wrong. Yes they still do some stuff they know is wrong but all kids do, but I wouldn't have them any other way.

Cute story sounds like your doing great with her. Your sister sounds like a brat for an adult, she should be replacing that toy since she popped it and it was a birthday toy! I can see why your the better person I would have kicked her when none of the kids were looking,lol. No I wouldn't but I would be fumming and she would know it. You guys have awesome Christmas.

Their aunt is my husbands dad's long time live in girlsfriends oldest daughter. They are so bad, they throw fits if my husbands dad comes to visit my kids or if they go see him. Last time she found out he saw them at walmart, WALMART OF ALL PLACES, she sat out in the middle of the road and tied a sheet around her neck to make him feel bad. We keep telling him to leave her but he wont.  I know now where my kids aunt gets it. My sister is as bad but she won't tear up their toys, she just lines them up and puts a knife to my throat and tells them to say goodbye to me. Yeah Now you see why I have no family around. Why i try not to claim I even have family cuase they are the perfect kids and I am the black sheep. Haven't seen my fam. (any of them) in over 4 years. I kinda liek to keep it that way. It hurts cause i am a daddy's girl and cause of them I can't see him :(

Sorry to hear that but sometimes we gotta think of our kids first. I got bad family members to who aren't allow near me and my little one or if they come thorugh is only for the holidays and they have to watch their mouths. I'm the oldest so having that authority makes it easier to deal with plus I have a bull for a hubby when he needs to be. Like I said I hope you guys have great Holidays. Your daughter is a very sweet kid.
