I am looking for crafty ideas for a gender reveal.....any suggestions?

I have a friend who invited everyone for dinner and bought special colored dessert plates only the very center had color and so you had to eat the dessert to find out. Another bought scratchers.

We found out right before dh's grandmother's birthday, so I made a 2 layer cake with pink(blue for boys, of course!) filling. We all found out at Grammie's birthday. :) -
I found out the sex of our baby while my husband was deployed(he left 8weeks into the pregnancy). My mom knew right away(she was at the dr with me).
I found out the sex of the baby and went and bought a pair of blue baby socks and a little camo onesie, wrapped them up and mailed them in my husbands next care package.
The day the box got there, his XO, 1sgt and he( the company co)were in his office together(they were used to getting treats from me). It was pretty cool !
His BN co said he was whooping and hollering and you could hear him several offices away! -
