I borrowed two books from a lady at the support group I go to. I can't decide which one to read first. The two books are The RDI Book. by Steven E. Gutstein,PH.D or The Picture Exchange Communication System training Manual by Lori Frost and Andy Bondy.
I'm not sure if I could read them both simultaneously. Which one would you read first and why?
I'm not a big reader, what is RDI? Even not knowing, it sounds more interesting than anything with 'training manual' in the title. Lol! Good luck, tough call!
Relationship Development Intervention program. Another Autism book the specialist we saw on Friday said to look into ABA or RDI. No ABA therapist around here and insurance doesn't cover RDI. A lady at the support group I attend used to be a certified in RDI but without insurance covering it, it got to be too costly. So she lent me both books.
How lucky to have been given the books to check out! I would flip through both of them and see which looks more interesting. I have an odd relationship with books in that if I don't like the art work or the print it is hard to sit and read. If the paper is weird it have a hard time getting into the book. So I would flip through and check them out - which is lighter to carry? Is one serious and the other easier reading? Go with the flow is what I say. Good luck with the reading, and good for you for checking out new ideas! :)
