what's your favorite cleaners?

 from everything from cleaning grim off the washing machine, cutting grease in the microwace and cleaning the bottom of pots, etc., etc.,

or any round the house chore. what cleaners do you use and would even recomend to others to use?

I make my own cleaners for everything. It's cheaper and I know everything that's in it.

Baking soda and a scrubber (nylon or steel wool) for anything that needs serious scrubbing.

Baking soda paste for most cleaning jobs that need a little more than soap and water, like a stained countertop.

Dishsoap cuts grease.  I believe vinegar does the same.

Vinegar water and newspapers for washing windows.

Skin-So-Soft to remove pine pitch/tar/gummy residue.

I use a steam mop for the floor....no cleaners needed.

Oh, and a Magic Eraser for just about anything!

I make my own cleaners using the same four ingredients: castile soap, washing soda, baking soda and vinegar.  Baking soda and vinegar are great on their own.

Vinegar and baking soda for most things.  In another group I just read an article about all these things you can use pastes or solutions of hydrogen peroxide to clean. Burned on crud on cookie sheets and pans was one I aim to try when I unpack my kitchen.  I'll report back.

 thanks ladies. sometimes i feel like the cleaners i use loose their umph on certain things after awhile. i'll give some of these ideas a try!
