$55 for a family of 3?
January 2, 2013 at 1:10 PM

I think I did my best when grocery shopping for the week. I didn't have any coupons.

That's great! I can usually spend that much maybe a little more if I have a list and don't splurge on anything.

I didn't do to bad either.  I got ours for $62 for a family of four.  Yay!  In budget!

I don't know how! Milk & cheese @ lunch meat & fruits are expensive. And, I buy very little meat for dinners.

I think it's good. If you can, try to build a small stockpile. I spend about that much for a family of 4 and three large dogs. I buy meat, dog food, milk and bread and a few other small things one week, then the following week I buy fruits and veggies, pantry staples, etc. I try to freeze some fruits and veggies if I see them on sale, and I try to make things from scratch. Doing it like this has really helped me to keep my grocery budget down and allows me room to buy a bag of Doritos and a few other things for sleepover night.
