I think it's good. If you can, try to build a small stockpile. I spend about that much for a family of 4 and three large dogs. I buy meat, dog food, milk and bread and a few other small things one week, then the following week I buy fruits and veggies, pantry staples, etc. I try to freeze some fruits and veggies if I see them on sale, and I try to make things from scratch. Doing it like this has really helped me to keep my grocery budget down and allows me room to buy a bag of Doritos and a few other things for sleepover night.
