I have tried making my own scented candles but the scent doesn't come out when I light my candle after it's cooled for alittle while. Does anyone have any tips on how to make scented candles? When I make mine I put it in the wax as it was melting in the double boiler on the stove and it seemed to just go to the bottom of the pot.

I read that it helps if you use pure essential oils.
I also read you should use 1 oz of oil per 1 lb of wax
