 I am getting over a cold/flu and now i have the WORST ear ache. Any advice on how to make it stop hurting? PLZ

A lady at work put a cotton ball in her ear but idk. Everytime ive had a ear infection not associated with cold or flu, ivw gone to the doctor

Blow dryer in the ear. It dries up the fluid.
