Do you think relationships where there is a significant age gap between partners can work? Does age really matter if you have found your soul mate?

I don't know. I think everything really depends on the couple. DH and I are 9 years and 9 months a part and we work just fine. :)

DH and I are about 9 years apart, he's 49(will be 50 in a few months) and I just turned 41. We don't notice an age gap but there will come a time that it will be more noticeable.

As long as there is love and mutual respect, I don't see the age difference a problem. My husband is 43 and I am 35- we have been together for 17 years (married for 15)

I think age does play a role in compatability. Im 34 and can't see where i would have much in common with a 21yo man...other than the obvious lol. -
I don't think it matters much, my husband is 6 years older than me and our relationship works just fine. My uncle was married to my aunt for 15 years until they divorced this year and he was 20 years older than her.
