Glazed Sweet Potatoes

 This is the official recipe from the restaurant in New Orleans. My sister and I were there for a wedding and enjoyed a beautiful Sunday brunch sitting in their
sun dappled courtyard. My sister fell in love with these, and I was able to get
the recipe for her from a friend.
Glazed Sweet Potatoes-Court of Two Sisters
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup milk
6 cups sweet potatoes, peeled, cut into 1" cubes steamed and cooled.
Combine butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk in a bowl and stir well.
Fold in sweet potatoes, and place in 2-qt casserole. Top with topping
(see recipe below). Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes. Yield: 10-12
servings.
Topping:
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch nutmeg
1 cup chopped pecans
Mix together well.

     I'm trying to find a sweet potato recipe that I like, besides just baked.  I'm going to try this!

    Sounds good.  We don't eat sweet potatoes though, my son is allergic.  We used to of course, before we had him!

    thanks ,I like the way these smell but let someone else eat them I can't take the texture

    <-- I am just picky about texture on things I dislike any beans except green beans, sweet potatoes, I like raw vegetables but dislike cooked carrots, and  celery... just plain weird lol but I cook them for Father and DD .. I don't want her growing up not eating something because I wont.
