I saw this in another group and just had to post it here! The question was how many gifts do you buy or do you have a dollar limit. This was the mom's response. She buys 4 gifts read below (However, she didn't give a dollar amount?) I guess you do the 4 within your means. Many ask when they adopt for Christmas what is good to buy. I can in no way tell anyone what they should or should not buy for their adopted child. That is your decision alone. But for those who have questions or want to make it as simple as they can maybe this can be a gentle guide. * No matter if you take it or leave it those dancing pickles are the bomb! LOL!
something you want, something you need, something to wear, something to read.
Keeping Christmas Simple:
Every year everyone in the family gets 4 Christmas gifts each representing one given to Jesus.
Something you WANT(GOLD, something worth gold to you)
Something you NEED(MYRRH, something to address individual talents/hobbies)
Something to WEAR(SWADDLING CLOTHES, a couple of outfits and a new set of PJ's)
Something to READ(FRANKINCENSE, supporting the spiritual side, books, music, artwork )
Also if you are not into the religious aspect of Christmas you can just use the want/need/wear/read part of it!
