How to Write a Good Question

There's a huge variety of questions within CafeMom Answers about almost any topic you can think of, and they range from the very serious to supremely silly. 

There are a few good rules of thumb to follow when writing your questions:

1. Make sure your question is clear. While you can use the "Details" area to provide more, well, details, your question won't even get clicked on if people can't figure out what it's about from the headline.
2. Ask real questions. Don't post something to just to get a reaction. If you're not open to opinions other than your own about something, don't ask about it.
3. Categorize correctly. Selecting the category that is the best match for your question will help it get answered.
