The only person i know who is off today is my sister and her work calls it Indigenous Peoples Day. But they get like EVERY holiday under the sun, including International Women's Day (I think that's the name), Casear Chavez Day, and a bunch more.
And i'm a SAHM so i don't get days off *crying*

Just because I dont work at work today doesn't mean I get a day off from the kids and house work.....

We had a park playdate with my dd's best friend. We started having playdates 5 years ago with just 2 girls. There are now 5 children between the two of families.

grumbling over a stupid holiday right now. ds had off daycare which meant i couldn't get any school work done. tried to run errands and kept getting slapped by closed signs. or one small business who didn't even bother to say she was closed. in fact her open sign was lit!!!

My kids and husband did, I had to work.
