Healthy Moms
I stumbled across this article this morning and thought it was pretty interesting.
http://health.yahoo.net/experts/eatthis/truth-about-your-food
It talks about the ingrediants in some common foods like SunnyD and Doritos... It was just really amazing to me how much crap is really in a food (or beverage) that you would think should be pretty simple. How do you make orange juice? You squeeze an orange, right? Apparently not so...
Anyone else amazed by how much (literal) crap they are able to stuff into food products? When did it become so complicated? I guess years of fixing food from scratch means that I am really out of touch with this stuff, but I have to say that I am happy that I hate eating processed packaged foods. You?

About 2 months ago (or so) it was on FB that Taco Bell (and one can assume other fast food as well) receives their meat marked "Grade CCC but still edible" When you go to the grocery store, who buys meat labeled "substandard"?
We are not doing any fast food any more, other than Subway, etc. They have issues, too, I'm sure, but at least I can I.D. what I'm eating LOL.

The meat grading thing is actually a myth (as per snopes) and the fact that the usda doesnt grade meat in that way.

not that TB or any fast food is good, mind you.
