Hello Ladies! I just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant! YAY! However, my hubby is off to basic in 2 weeks. We are about to bring all of our stuff to get me registered registered for deers(?) and tricare. I'm worried they are going to give us a lot of trouble because I'm pregnant... Any advice? Also, I set up an appointment for my first ultrasound next wednesday, but I'm still technically on my parents insurance. Do you know how long it will take for the new insurance to kick in?

It shouldn't be to long from what I have heard. I dont personally know since I was active duty when I met my husband...

But I would assume he would have to be in-processed with his unit for BCT.

Your Tricare coverage will not kick in immediately. Do you have insurance on your own?

It might take a few weeks to kick in, so stay on your parents insurance until tricare kicks in. congrats on your pregnancy =] They shouldn't give you any trouble because you're pregnant I would think.
