New York Moms
My brother is thinking about taking my 9 year old son to see the upcoming movie Identity Thief. It's my say in the end, and he said that if I said that he couldnt take him to see it then he wouldnt. When I had seen the previews for this movie and read about it, I had thought it was going to be rated pg13 in the end. Now I noticed its rated R. What are other mom's opinions on this? I mean I know there are a lot of rated R movies that I would give an automatic no to on letting him see. Things like Ted, or horror movies or things with excessive sex or nudity, or things like that. I just need some real input on this one. Thanks

Can he wait for a different movie to come out. Maybe look up previews of new kid appropriate movies that are coming out soon so he has something to look forward to.

I wouldn't let my son see it especially if I hadn't seen it first. Can he take him to a different movie?we looked for a family movie on Saturday (we have gift cards for Regal). Nothing there were 7-ish R rated movies and 2 PG-13........

Yeah I am definitely giving a no on this movie. I am sure he can find another one to take him to at a later date. My son isnt huge into movies for the most part anyways. He doesn't announce that he wants to see every movie that is coming out or anything lol. so i am sure there is something else he can go to.
On another note, I will be going to see Identity Thief lol. Looks funny as heck.
