Toss: Worn-out sneakers 

Running or walking shoes that easily bend in half at the midsole may increase your risk of injury. Give them the boot. Remember, the average sneaker life span: 300 to 500 miles, or about six months.

    I admit I have old shoes but I keep them for wearing in the rain.

    Holy cow, I just got new sneakers  last month. I have had my last pair for like 7 years lol.

    I love my old shoes.  I am a hard to fit size, with some foot issues, so when I find something that fits, and is comfie, I keep them.  I don't see the harm.  I have sneakers for gardening, just around the house, and another for errands, rainy weather, etc.
