Do you peel a banana from the stem or the bottom?

I usually cut them down the middle. It goes faster and yeah I end up with no strings.

This is what my friend does. She's a second grade teacher, so all the kids in her class are totally obsessed with the trick...

I peel from the top, I've never heard of doing it from the bottom.
