Do you have a chocolate fondue set?
June 30, 2010 at 1:47 PM

I am so tempted to get one for my kids to enjoy but I'm wondering how much of a mess it would be?  How much do they average in cost?

I have a fondue set. We got it for our wedding. We have never used it! LOL! We can do cheese, chocolate, oil, whatever in it. I don't think fondue is all that messy.

They're really not. You control the fire under the pot.

The fondue set I have is general purpose.  I rarely use it though. It wasn't very messy. I have used it for cooking soup,  meat fondues, cheese fondues, and chocolate.

*shrug* I don't really see the point, no one I know uses them or wants to.

They make a fun dessert for a party. Some chocolate sauce, or I've also used caramel sauce,  with pound cake or angel food cake pieces,  pineapple chunks, marshmallows, apple slices, orange slices.

I have a fondue set still in the box and never used.  I got mine on clearance 75% off at Kohl's several years ago.
