I was just wondering who decides what the toy of the year would be? We all remember times when toys were selling for tons of money on ebay or other websites.
I've never fallen for this toy of the year thing but what is the "must have toy"?

I know a lot of people are wanting the zhu zhu pets (fake hamsters). I'm not sure how they are decided I guess they put a few out and see how well they sale.

I looked up the zhu shu pets online and thought they were ugly, but what do I know? LOL

I would say it depends on how many people buy what toy through out the yr??
I seen last yr on the news they picked it by putting 50 kids in one room and letting loose a lot of toys for them to pick from and play with so that is how they picked their top 10 LOL

Fake hamsters ?? LOL ! My kids are older, so I'm not into this whole toy thing anymore. I miss all the shopping for toys. I never could understand how there always turns out to be ONE toy that everyone is racing to buy.
