I went today and made freezer jams. I decided that on these cold days that jams and biscuits would be nice. So what I am going to do is make a big batch of bisquick and put in a nice bowl with a wooden spoon and a freezer jam. With instruction on how to mix up the biscuits.
Here is the recipe for bisquick
8c flour
1/3 c baking powder
2tsp salt
8tsp sugar
1c shortening { I used butter flavored}
Combine in large bowl all ingredents. I used a pastry knife to cut in the shortening. I place mine in a freezer bowl and store until I need it.
To use you use 2c mix to 3/4c milk
bake 350 10-15 min.
You can add 3/4c powdered milk to your dry mixture. then you just add 3/4c water.
Freezer jams~
4c berries
1 1/2 c sugar
1 box freezer pectin
mash your berries add your sugar and your pectin. Place in 6oz plastic containers. let them sit to harden for 30 minutes place in freezer.
Shhh... I kept one out for tomorrows brunch...
